前置詞は、「in」「for」「of」などの名詞や代名詞などの前に置かれて、形容詞や副詞のような働きをする品詞のことです。

前置詞を覚えるときに、一つ一つの細かい意味を覚えようとしていませんか？
えーっと、「at」には「～で」という場所を指す意味があって、「～を」という動作の対象を指す意味もあって、他には原因や状態を表す場合もあって・・・
勉強をしていると、１つの前置詞が実に複数の意味をもっていることに気が付くことでしょう。
これをつぶさに覚えようとするのは大変ですし、なんだか効率が悪いような気もします。
そこで有効なのが「イメージ化」です。
